I love this picture. It was taken the day before Michael's 8th birthday. We had surprised him with a trip to Epcot for his big day. We gave him clues along the way. He had no idea what was in store for him. This photo was taken at the hotel on the day we arrived. He was so excited and bouncing around the room, jumping on the bed. The photo captures the joy of the weekend that we had. Birthdays are a big deal in our house ... and his was the biggest.
This photo also shows Michael in motion. He was in constant motion, even while sitting. And the big grin on his face. You can also see a bit of his mischievousness.
*jumping on the bed in hotels was always treat when we were on vacation.

LOVE this photo and that HUGE smile! That is definitely how I will always remember Michael...smiling! Love you!
Too cute. Look how much fun he was having, Jenn. He has that same big smile in all of the pictures that I have of him, too. Such a happy boy.
Jenn, I am visiting from Mckmama's blog and just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you tonight.
I too found your blog from Mckmama's blog. I have read back through many of your posts. I absolutely LOVE the slide show you did and the song you added to that. I have some friends that are saying goodbye to their young son (from a brain tumor) tonight. I'll email it to them.
My son is 4 and is getting treatment for a brain tumor that had spread to his spine by the time we found it.
My heart aches for you and I feel blessed to have stumbled upon your blog. I pray for a peace that can only come from above for you -- especially as Mother's Day approaches quickly.
Many blessings to you and your family.
Much love,
Stacie Smith
