play

"It is a happy talent to know how to play"
Ralph Waldo Emerson

----------------
Today I am thankful for:
Our dog, Nellie. I love the way she greets me at the door - like she has been waiting all morning for me to come home. Even when I am only gone for an hour. Her greeting is always the same. And I like the way she snuggles into my legs at night as we sleep. A very sweet dog.

Your thankful-for-this post is one I can relate to ... Killer Popsicle acts like I have been gone for days (years?) when I come home .... even if it has only been minutes to ride up the road to Rite-Aid. Sometimes I think his little tail is going to wag off of his tiny body! That unconditional love is amazing and astounds me every time I walk in the house, and I often times feel undeserving of it. Your blog reminds me to put down my bags and take a moment - to pet him, kiss him, snuggle him.

These are great shots. And the Emerson quote is such a perfect fit. Worlds of significance can be captured in a picture. I love the skateboard photo-- Michael looks focused but casual, so satisfied, and obviously having a great time.
